India wants 'stable, peaceful, prosperous' Pakistan

After having watched its closest neighbor suffer in trouble, turmoil and dictatorship for years, India wants a stable Pakistan, which would be good for India, better for Asia and best for the country itself. But, is Pakistan or its military dictatorship ready?

India has seen Pakistan’s remorseful birth, sulky growth, dictatorship thrive and survive to overthrow democracy or popular rule, as is known in India. Though, India doesn’t want to be mired in controversy for branding the current situation in Pakistan as unstable, yet we want political stability, democracy and peace restored to the land that has already suffered horrendously at the hands of its dictators, of which Musharraf is the most hated. And now he sends former PM Nawaz Sharif into another exile, bringing the country once again on the doors of violence and turmoil, especially when the people of Pakistan are fed up of his tyranny wanting stabile government for the country that has a history of passing to the hands of dictatorial regimes.

A stable Pakistan is the need of today, with self-sufficient economy and prospering people. A stable political leadership in its neighbor would help India negotiate with it in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, without the fear of violence and terrorism in the backyard. Stability in Pakistan would help the country and countrymen to concentrate on their natural wealth, besides striving for more from other areas, helping trade flourish in the Asian continent.

But, is it that easy? Not at all, unless the reign of terror unleashed by the Musharraf regime is brought to a halt, not unless democracy is restored in Pakistan and not unless the country rises above its privy methodology of backing, supporting and transporting terror. Until then, the future of Pakistan hangs on the tip of the noose.
